Cypress Head Golf Club is a public course that has proudly earned the title of Best Golf Course since 2009 and ranked among the Top 25 Florida Golf Courses by GolfPass. Known as “the public course you'll want to play again and again,” Cypress Head delivers a memorable golf experience surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery and abundant wildlife. Designed by renowned architects Arthur Hills and Mike Dasher, the course seamlessly integrates Florida’s native landscape—lush forests, wetlands, and water features—into a layout that is both enjoyable and challenging. With multiple tee boxes ranging from just under 4,900 to over 6,800 yards, the course offers generous risk-reward opportunities for players of all skill levels. Wide fairways lead to meticulously maintained Bermuda greens, ensuring premium playing conditions. Highlights include back-to-back par 3s on the front nine and consecutive par 5s on the back, with Atlantic Ocean breezes adding a strategic element to every round. Cypress Head also boasts a full-scale practice facility featuring a 330-yard natural grass driving range, undulating putting greens, chipping areas, and a practice bunker. The club is committed to growing the game through player development programs, including weekly clinics, junior camps, private instruction, and custom club fittings. For beginners and travelers, a large selection of high-quality rental clubs is also available. Owned by the City of Port Orange and managed by KemperSports, the club is conveniently located near the beaches of Daytona and New Smyrna. Open to the public 7 days.
